Replacing a Rocker Cover and Timing Belt

The rocker cover, for those unfamiliar, acts as a shield for the valve train. With time, the gaskets sealing this cover can degrade, leading to potential oil leaks. We removed the old cover, taking extra care to ensure that everything was thoroughly cleaned. Fixing the new rocker cover in its place, we double-checked all connected components for a snug fit and everything was sealed.

The timing belt replacement followed. This part is crucial; it’s responsible for synchronising the rotation of the crankshaft and the camshaft, ensuring the engine's valves operate seamlessly. It is critical to ensure that this belt is installed with utmost accuracy as the engine timing depends on getting this right.
